Vacation Resorts International (VRI) Announces
New Online Features
Vacation Resorts International is pleased to announce the delivery of real-time online reservations for owners at VRI-managed resorts. Our commitment is to deliver a simple, reliable, comprehensive reservations portal enabling you to make regular use full-week, split-week, bonus time, and rental reservations online.
This announcement introduces the initial availability of regular use, full-week on-line reservations. This new feature will be delivered to all VRI-managed resorts in phases with anticipated completion by the end of the first quarter 2011. The complete online reservation system for all categories of reservation requests will be completed by the Third Quarter 2011.
In addition, VRI introduces the ability to manage account information and address changes, enhanced bill payment, access to resort-specific forms, use calendars and rental agreements.
Our new "My Account" feature located in "For Owners Only" will provide you with secure access to all of your VRI accounts. You must have an email address on file with us to access the on-line reservation system. If you do not have an email address on file, please call (866) 469-8222 to update your account(s).
How to Use Online Reservations and Account Management
Click on the 'My Account' option in the 'For Owners Only' screen. Select 'New User' and create your personal online account by completing the login screen using your email address on file. You set your own password and security question. Your Account Home page details all of your intervals at VRI-managed resorts. Intervals are grouped by your email address. If an interval does not appear in the list, please call (866) 469-8222 and have your email added to the missing inventory. If one of your resorts is currently not active for online reservations, an * will appear to the right of the resort name. That will disappear once your resort is added in 2011.
Select an interval at a resort that is active for online reservations. You now have the opportunity to change your address and contact information (one change request will update all accounts), make reservations in accordance with your resort booking policies, and make a payment.
Once you have selected the desired inventory, you will be prompted to confirm your selection within two minutes. During this two-minute period, the inventory you selected is unavailable to anyone else. If you do not confirm within the two-minute period, the inventory selected is opened up for selection by another owner and you will need to make a new selection.
Your reservation confirmation will appear online and you may redirect that reservation confirmation to an exchange program to bank your inventory if desired by clicking one of the links at the bottom of the confirmation. You will automatically receive a confirmation by return email. You reservation activity also appears on your online account page for the selected interval.
