Vacation Resorts International (VRI) Announces Naming of New
President/Promotion of Senior Staff Member
Loren V. Gallagher has assumed the duties and responsibilities of President and General Counsel of VRI as of July 1, 2009. Mr. Gallagher previously worked for VRI and spent 15 years holding various positions within the company. After leaving VRI in 1995, Mr. Gallagher pursued other opportunities including Senior Vice President/Acquisitions for a publicly traded company in Asia and subsequently President of a management company responsible for one of the largest points-based timeshare clubs in the United States. In addition to his many years in the timeshare business, Mr. Gallagher has been a member of the California State Bar Association since 1983.
Tom Bruette has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer of Resort Operations. Mr. Bruette has been with VRI since 1986 and has held several positions within the company. His most recent position was as Senior Vice President of Finance for the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions working out of VRI's Southeast office in Merritt Island, Florida. Mr. Bruette is responsible for all aspects of resort accounting, financial analysis, budget preparation, coordination of resort independent year-end account services - including tax reporting and resort cash management, for VRI. Mr. Bruette has re-located to VRI's corporate office in Laguna Hills, California.
